PARIS BY NIGHT SUGGESTIONS

In Paris, there are many options to enjoy the evening and the night ! The city if full of restaurants and nice bars. And we are really lucky ! Parisians like to go out, for what is called  an « afterwork », especially on Thursday evening after the work day. We also appreciate « before » and « after » the party. Parisians drink and spend time with there friends in the bars or pubs. Paris has wine running through the veins.

Wine bars, speakeasies, cocktail bars … the choice is difficult !

One of the best wine bar is the Barav. It is located in the Marais district, a central and very lively district ! You choose your wine and eat very good french tapas. This is the kind of appreciated place.

You can also go in a typical brasserie, or Bistrot (« bistro » would come from 1814, when Paris was occupied by the soldiers of the Tsar Alexander I, who were used to screamed « bistro » in the parisiens bars to be served faster. Indeed, Bistro means « Fast » or « Quick »)

The most famous one is La Coupole: since 1927 it has been a symbol of the history of Montparnasse. In an art deco decor, listed as a historical heritage, the Chef offers essential dishes from the major Parisian Brasseries such as the Grenoble-style stripe,  real pepper steak and seafood platters … Find the famous lamb curry in La Coupole Indian since 1927.

An other famous one is The Bouillon Chartier, created in 1896 by two brothers, Frédéric and Camille Chartier. A bouillon was originally a cheap workers’ eatery that served stew. The restaurant is open 365 days a year with a menu offering traditional French cuisine.

For an original but more « restaurant » style, it is nice to eat in a house built in 1407 by the famous Nicolas Flamel, to house the poor. It is the Auberge de Nicolas Flamel. The food is gastronomic. The location is in le Marais, rue de Montmorency.

Willing intimacy? Go to Mistery cuisine ! More than necessary to book in advance : indeed there are only 3 tables ! The menu is a surprise. The setting is very intimate and located in the very center of Paris, in rue de Montpensier, in the 1st district.

For a magnificent view, you can try the Ciel de Paris, on the top of the Montparnasse tower! You will see the Eiffel tower, the Invalides. Only one access to reach the summit ! The tower is located on avenue du Maine, in the 15th district.
Look forward the most historic restaurant ?

Run to the oldest café of Paris, where the actors of la Comédie française (French Comedy) and the revolutionaries meeting and discuss with passion, go to the world famous Le Procope. Frog legs, carpaccio, onion soup, snails, … the food is very tasty ! Located on 13 rue de l’Ancienne comédie, in the 6th district.

Then after a good restaurant, it is possible to go in a bar to drink cocktails and listen music. There are many ! The speakeasy is in vogue, as the Liquorium, a speakeasy with a fascinating atmosphere, between a laboratory and cabinet of curiosity. But you will have to find the entrance…  you will have to find the underground of the brasserie « The Drink Doctor »…

Near Notre Dame, the Caveau de la Huchette is one of the most famous bar in Paris, located underground in a medieval cave, it housed one of the first jazz club of Paris. 5 Rue de la Huchette.

For a central location and a great setting, go to the Rosa Bonheur and enjoy the sun on the bank of the Seine, especially in summer, and party on the Seine, in the famous floating bar the Rosa Bonheur, named after a famous painter from the 19th century !

Many great places to try in Paris ! Enjoy !
